He hardly needs me to link to him, but I wanted to share MM's latest posts with those of you who don't read Somewhere on the masthead. As you know, I am a huge fan of MM's writing; if I linked to everything he ever wrote that I enjoyed, I'd be linking almost every single one of his posts. I link now because added to that brilliant writing is a tale with gripping urgency.
For the most part, Magazine Man's stories have been about events that happened in the past, things that we know are resolved and must have turned out decently, as he's still here to write about them.
Lately that's been different. It started with MM's investigations into a young man he saw driving through the neighborhood who turned out to be a sexual predator...and it's during the course of that tale that the seeds for the current story are sown.
I want to call it an "adventure". That word feels cheap these days. But that's what it was--an adventure, a drama in which the outcome was truly unknown until the end. And though we don't know much of the middle parts of the story, what we do know is enough.
It's a tale of love, devotion, heroism, and bravery.
I invite you to share it with me.
