Great news!

Americans are getting fatter, faster!

-_-

I do like what Dr. Ian Campbell, chairman of the National Obesity Forum in the UK, had to say:

"It really is time that we got our finger out and started making real changes.

"This is no cosmetic irritation, it is a serious medical problem."

That might work for teenagers, but by then the damage of bad eating habits has already been done, and as we all know bad habits are hard to break. Littler kids aren't necessarily going to have the freedom to choose what they eat.

I agree that we need to start kids young with good eating habits. Better school lunches and health classes are a start. But change has to take place in the home, too. Parents need to be educated so they won't pass down their own unhealthy habits to their kids.
