This time, I'm not kidding
This is my new Yaris!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It only took me ten months! ;)
The Subaru decided to give up the ghost on my way to work today. I had almost made it to my exit when I realized that despite my firm pressure on the gas pedal, the car was rapidly decelerating. Then smoke plumed out everywhere!
Naturally I pulled over and called Sean, and he came and got me and we set to work on getting me a new car. Toyota of Augusta found one for me in Macon and had it driven over. Sean and I went to work in the meantime. I hadn't thought to take a picture of the old Subaru when we cleaned it out, so I snapped one as we passed it when he was taking me to work.
*sniff* Bye, Subey! You were a great car. You lasted longer than I expected you to. You reminded me of Grandpa. And you were just plain awesome.
And welcome to my life, beautiful little Yaris! I know we are going to have the best time together.
I'll get some better pictures tomorrow, in the daylight :)

Oh my god, she's SO beautiful!! :D What's her name?! I'm SO happy for you, Hea Hea!! I can't wait to come visit, so I can ride around in her! :DD!!
My original thought was "Tamago", which means egg in Japanese. (Or maybe "Tarako" ;>) Yesterday I was thinking, "How about 'Edogawa Conan'?" But I probably need to stop naming things after anime characters.
Although "Ran" might not be bad...
That is so cute and I am SO JEALOUS! My mom has a little green Toyota Echo, and she named it the Pea Pod, because that's exactly what it looks like. My little car does the job but it lacks the Style of The Yari.
CONGRATULATIONS!
Yay! New wheels good! Congratulations Heather!
Heather: I alternately like and dislike the now-retired Echo. Sometimes they look cool, and other times they just look like a Looney Tunes character who's been kicked in the ass. (You know how they look, with their butt way up in the air...)
I think the Yaris looks something like an egg (hence "Tamago").
Em: Wow, hey, it's been awhile! Thanks!
Jered: Do I even need to say it's been awhile? It's always been awhile with you ;> Thanks for the grats :)
I'm still pondering what to name the car. An idea I had for my Escort back in 1998 came to mind this morning, but I don't know if I'll go with that or not...
