Everyone wants me to write.

Haven't seen Foreman for weeks (months?). He finally popped up today, and during the course of our catching up, he remarked, "figured you'd try and get published by now :)"

For a variety of reasons. Mainly, because we want you to be happy.

First off, you have a real knack - a real talent - for writing. What you put out is good, solid stuff. You've trained in that, you've practiced, and you've gotten good.

And secondly, you want to write. You mention it frequently enough, even if it's usually in the sort of phrasing like, "I want to write, but.." or "I should be writing but.."

Thirdly, because we want you to be happy, and by knowing you, and by hearing your opinion of writing, we judge that it is one of the things that would truly make you happy should you be able to harness it as a career.

We aren't nagging, exactly, or at least I hope none of us are. Hopefully you'll never look at it like that. But we see the desire and the ability together, and so as friends (and for me, as a brother) we encourage it.
