Isn't it weird how certain things can repeatedly remind us of other things? For example, often when I cook, if not every time, I think of the movie The Boy Who Could Fly. I have no idea why.
Lately, whenever I move an email into my "Done" box (which I always create so I can have old emails as a reference), I think about the time a coworker was hunting for a picture that had been sent out to all the producers. Since I get those emails too, I said that it might still be in my email.
"No, it wouldn't still be in email," my coworker said.
That so annoyed me. How would she know what was in my email? Just because she has the habit of deleting everything doesn't mean I do.
And I guess since I didn't say anything to her, it still bothers me...especially when I'm working with my email :>

Meh, don't let it bother you.
I totally understand where you're going with the association thing, though, there's a certain flower that blooms in the Springtime, that when I smell it, I IMMEDIATELY think of mothballs and new flip flops, but that's another story.
Bottom line, you may very well have still had the email, don't let them bother you. If you're like me, you're in your email too much everyday to be hounded by a negative associaton. Should I send you something funny, so you can associate getting THAT with "email"? :D
((And how awesome is my word verification: uzlfun ?!))
UZLFUN!!!!!
Mine is "bmyomw", which I am having fun pretending is an acronym--perhaps for "Bring merrily your own mirthful witching."
As far as not letting it bother me, I tend not to dwell on things for hours on end, but instead I'll think of it every now and then and want to mention it to someone. I have a few memories like that. Some of them I've even resolved, and they still pop up! Maybe my subconscious wants me to write a story about them or something.
