Finding love at Wal-Mart

Wal-Mart Nixes 'Singles Shopping'

A Wal-Mart spokesman declined to comment on the reason behind the program's cancellation. But customer Dale Firebaugh, who showed up Friday night hoping to meet his match, said store employees told him several people had complained.

"I'm disappointed," said Firebaugh, 63. "Where can someone over 40 who doesn't smoke or drink or go to bars meet someone?"
Alas.

Would you really want to pick someone up at Walmart?

Based on the limited time I've been to Walmarts, magic eight ball says No.

Have you forgotten that the Magic 8-Ball knows nothing?!

But yeah, I'm with you. The Internet is a much better way to meet someone! ;>

Hahahah. Did you miss the "Roanoke Virginia" part of the news story? Obviously they cancelled it because most single people in Roanoke don't have any teeth to chew with, and don't wear much more than overalls on a usual basis. Obviously, they don't have that much to shop for.
