Inexplicable plastic

When I arrived at work this morning I discovered an old-school farming/shepherding operation on my desk.

It's actually not inexplicable; Mullis and Fichtel went to the dollar store last night. But it is certainly bizarre!

(I have to say, I'm rather fond of the pig.)

I like the scary black cat in the background; I take it he's not part of the set? ;)

haha, no...

I have two black cats, and both of them came from Halloween cupcakes. The ring was from my first year working at the station, and the cat to the right is from last year :D

Awww, I see the little cat to the right, now; he's easy to miss if you don't know he's there.

I want that one, too.

I'm intrigued with the fact that the "farm hands" are wearing robes.

I found out that it's actually supposed to be a Noah's Ark playset.

Which begs the question: why aren't there more animals? For that matter, why is there only one animal? You'd think they'd at least have two, male and female.

(By the way...that pig is definitely male, as I discovered yesterday when I turned him over to see if there was any identifying writing.)

I guess the old man is Noah, and maybe the other figure is his wife, though Elser thinks it looks like a young man and not a woman.

wELL, it could be that the animals just started coming. You may not want to mention anything or your desk could get overloaded. LOL M

I think that the "one animal" and really masculine wife are probably the reasons the set was found at the dollar store in the first place.
